Cluster Based Routing Algorithms for Wireless Sensor Networks

In the past few years Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are used, in both civilians and military applications. Wireless sensor networks composed of a large number of tiny devices called sensor nodes. The sensor nodes communicate together by many wireless strategies and these communication strategies administrated by routing protocols. Performance parameters of WSNs largely depend on the routing protocols, which are application based. Keeping this in mind, we have carried out extensive survey on WSN routing protocols. Routing in WSNs can be broadly classified into three categories; flat routing, hierarchical routing (cluster based routing) and location based routing. Based on the literature review cluster based routing techniques are divided into block, grid, chain cluster based routing schemes. Authors have classified these routing schemes into different routing algorithms based on their objectives, merits and demerits in tabular form. Properties of all these are summarized in flow sheet. Further the tradeoff between various performance metrics such as latency, scalability and energy awareness given in tabular form. The merits and limitations of cluster based routing technique are presented and compared. At the end authors have list out some issues new to address for efficient use of cluster based routing algorithms.

Improved Packet Routing Scheme in VANETs with 3G Assistance

In today’s wireless networking domain, various wireless technologies area unit utilized for sharing information and providing information services. 3G and VANETs have recently attracted huge attention. Information delivery is especially difficult attributable to the distinctive characteristics of VANETs, like quick topology modification, frequent disruptions, and rare contact opportunities. In this paper, an integration of VANET and 3G networks mistreatment mobile gateways is introduced. A packet will either be delivered via multi-hop transmissions within the VANET or via 3G. We will maximize the delivery quantitative relation of packets and meantime to attenuate the delivery delay by our planned system. Along with the QoS we considered security for the vehicle also i.e., in this paper we proposed a method where vehicles will generate emergency message based on vehicle speed and distance, to overcome the accidents in city environment.

Reduction of PAPR using SLM Based SFBC Technique in OFDM Systems

In this paper, we propose SLM Scheme for PAPR reduction in MIMO-OFDM Systems with Space Frequency Block Coding (SFBC). The key idea of the proposed scheme is keeping the advantage of the SFBC structure to generate some multi-sequences via combining the signals at different transmit antennas. Specifically, when the proposed scheme is employed in SFBC MIMO-OFDM systems with quadrature phase shift keying (QPSK), one of the big advantages is that the side information does not need to be sent to the receiver. Theoretical analysis and simulation results validate that the proposed scheme has the ability to provide large PAPR reduction, low bit error rate and low computational complexity without side information in SFBC MIMO-OFDM systems.
